Here's why stickers that say "bring back wezz" are plastered all over Dublin

No, they’re not bringing back Wezz.

IF YOU’VE BEEN standing around at traffic lights in Dublin city centre over the last few weeks, chances are you’ve probably spotted one of these stickers:

If you’re wondering what the story behind them is, it turns out they’ve actually been spread around the place by an Irish hat company.

The hats feature the same Irish colloquialisms that you might have seen on the stickers.

The company is called ‘this way up‘ and it’s run by a twenty-year-old Irish student called Andrew McLaughlin. Andrew says he was inspired to create a line of hats after spending some time in New York and realizing that there wasn’t a lot of tasteful clothing for Irish people to represent themselves with.

One of the unique things about ‘this way up’ is that they are purposely limiting the run the six hat designs to 25 each, so that people can take pride in the fact that they are one of only twenty-five people to own one of the designs.

The hats are all made in Ireland and because Andrew is a student, he decided to go out on a whim with a pretty low budget to see what he could do. The results are pretty impressive.

As for the stickers, Andrew printed 500 over the last few months in hopes of getting a bit of attention for his launch. It worked. Soon after, people were Snapchatting photos of the stickers and the humorous calls for the return of Wezz. He quickly started getting screenshots of people he didn’t even know sharing photos of the stickers.

Because of the limited run, there are now only 60 hats left in the online store. If you want the person in Boojum to know you’re well aware of the guacamole laws, you might want to act fast.
